This powerful codec is for all the systems including x86, x86-64, PowerPC, and ARM etc. It is more powerful than simple libjpeg and 2 to 6 times faster than libjpeg. Although it implements libjpeg API which is less powerful than TurboJPEG API but easier to use as compared to other codecs.

This powerful codec also has a colorspace extensions which allows compression and decompression in addition to big-endian pixel buffers (XBGR, RGBX, etc).
